Trinity plug plant

£2.75

A high yielding, aromatic habanero that has a manageable level of heat.

Heat level: hot
(approx. 40,000 SHU)

Description

Trinity
Capsicum chinense

A truly remarkable variety, Trinity is distinguished by plants heavily laden with aromatic fruit that lack the searing heat typical of other habaneros. The fruit vary considerably in shape and size, but can be as large as 3 x 6.5cm. They are deeply-grooved and ripen from lime green to red. Their distinctive flavour and manageable heat level can be put to good use in tomato ketchup, hot sauces and fresh salsas.

The medium-sized, spreading plants grow well either in the ground or pots 7.5 to 10 litres in size. Because they are weighed down by fruit, the plants need strong support to prevent damage to the main stems and branches.

Heat level: hot (approx 40,000 SHU)
