Description
Stumpy
(Capsicum annuum)
True to its name, Stumpy is the smallest variety we sell. The compact, bushy plants grow only 12 to 17cm tall and are perfect in pots 1 to 3 litres in volume. Because of their diminutive size, they are a top choice where space is limited – sunny windowsills, small cold frames and crowded greenhouses come instantly to mind.
The hot, cone-shaped fruit grow upright in bunches and are only about 3cm long. They sit above the foliage, where it is easier to watch their show of colours as they change from creamy yellow, to orange then red.
Heat level: hot (approx. 27,000 SHU)
