Description

Apple Crisp
(Capsicum annuum)

This chilli is like nothing else we’ve ever tried before. The fruit, which are bigger than a large crab apple (38 x 46mm) and ripen from green to red, are extremely mild and sweet. But what really stands out is their texture; they are exceptionally crunchy, thick and juicy, with a very tender skin, and are best eaten out of hand – like an apple. The plants are late-maturing and have a 90cm spread, so need plenty of space to grow.

Heat level: 400 SHU (very mild)
