Delivery Details

Plug plants

Orders accepted: October–May; delivery: late April and throughout May

Delivery costs £5.00. This covers the cost of the packaging and postage. It is a flat rate so the more plants you buy the less you pay per plant.

Our chilli pepper and sweet pepper plug plants are raised in Jiffy-7 pellets. They are sent out in green, see-through blister packs.

Mail out will start at the end of April, and will continue throughout May. Orders are sent out according to the order date, i.e. orders made in October will be sent out first. However, if you have specific delivery requirements, e.g. you are going on holiday in early May and want the plug sent after your return,  we are happy to do our best to accomodate. We cannot agree to send your order out on a specific date, but we can agree on a specific week, or to send your order out after a certain date. In all cases an email saying your order has been shipped will be sent to you the day your order is posted.

Packages are sent out by first class post with Royal Mail. This means your order will be delivered by your postman. The package will not fit through most letter boxes so if you are likely to be out please leave instructions where is should be left. Larger orders  – say over 20 plug plants – may be sent by courier.

Overseas orders will be sent by airmail. We cannot control how long the delivery will take, and no refunds or replacements will be made if plants are damaged due to a slow delivery. All risks associated with the delivery are with the buyer.

When you receive your pepper plug plants they will be ready for potting up, and in most places in Britain will be able to go straight out into an unheated greenhouse/polytunnel/conservatory. For information on how to look after your plants please go to Gardening Information or click here.

Mature chilli plants

Available from June to September

Delivery cost is included in the price of each plant. There is no added charge.

We send out chilli plants grown in 1 litre pots from June onwards. The exact time we start selling these plants will depend on when we feel they are ready.

The plants are well grown. In June they will be in flower, and some may have fruit on them. As the season progresses the maturity of the plants will develop, so by July most plants will have fruit on them, by August the fruit is likely to be ripe, and by September the plants will be at their best!

The range of varieties will vary each year and will depend on availability and condition of our plants.
